Khayangan Estate is laid out as two clusters of three en-suite bedrooms each, available for two parties of six persons or as a single residence of 6 bedrooms for 12 guests.

Cluster 1 consists of the Sultan master suite and two further suites - the Majapahit and the Keraton, together with a dining and living pavilion and an infinity-edge pool overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Built on even higher ground, Cluster 2 features two joglos, each with large private plunge pools, situated on both sides of a second infinity-edge pool, which leads up to the covered terrace in front of a grand living and dining pavilion that is scheduled for completion in late 2008. To the right of the pool is the two-bedroom Sanjaya suite, while to the left is Khayangan's second master suite, the palatial Maharajah suite.

All of the suites are distinctive in character and have been individually designed to enhance the original and unique features of each of the hand-crafted joglos. Floor to ceiling glass panels have been incorporated into the front and sides of the buildings to let in more light and give a contemporary feel to the interiors. Antique doors with carved panels open up to wide covered verandahs, where guests can enjoy alfresco dining or just relax on the lounge beds and soak up the stunning views of the sea.

Each bedroom is replete with extravagant king-sized beds set within a cocoon of soft muslin cotton canopy around the thick central pillars, and topped with beautifully and intricately carved multi-tiered centre-pieces or pondopo. Designed for ultimate comfort, the beds are dressed with fine white cotton bed linen and complemented with luxurious Jim Thompson Thai silk pillows and bed coverings.
